Member Spotlight
Eden Konja
Eden Konja began his educational technology career as an intern technician, then as a Desktop Support Specialist at Oakland Community College. During his 14 years at OCC, he earned his Bachelor and Master degrees from Walsh College. Eden began to teach computer classes at OCC in addition to his daily role in the IT department. He also teaches at Walsh College in their growing Information Technology program.
The last three years he has been making an impact at Notre Dame Preparatory and Marist Academy a private JK-12 Catholic school. He is the first Director of Information and Academic Technology for the school. There he continues to demonstrate his leadership and desire to share his knowledge to improve school technologies.
Eden has presented “Social Media – Insights into Branding the Digital You” at Oakland Community College during their 2016 Leadership Summit, highlighting the impact of students’ digital footprint. He has also mentored a team of students in the Cyber Patriot competition, fostering their cybersecurity skills by getting students to work on real-world solutions. He has also taught adult education classes in his community to help people better understand the use of technology.
